Upcycling: snow globe place cards

I love making snow globes. The funny thing is I’ve never actually made one with snow or water.

Faux snow globes are fun to make and a great use of small jars. With several small jars you could make a set of place cards for next dinner party or brunch.

To make a faux snow globe, you’ll need:
  • Small jars
  • Oasis or floral styrofoam
  • Moss
  • Small silk flowers
  • Paper
  • Tacky glue
  1. Glue a small piece of oasis to the inside of your jar top.
  2. Add a little moss on top of the oasis and glue down.
  3. Insert small silk flowers or greenery into the oasis.
  4. I added a butterfly that I printed out and trimmed and of course, the guest’s name.
  5. Carefully, place your jar onto the lid and screw into place.
This project would be ideal if you had a lot of baby food jars.
