Inkling: halloween décor {black flowers}

It’s October! Do you decorate for Halloween or do you skip the ghosts and goblins and go straight for the overall autumn look?

I don’t do too much Halloween decorating but I couldn’t resist adding a touch of spookiness to my décor.

These black flowers are easy to make and add a splash of inky blackness to a table or mantle.

The flowers are made out of black crepe paper and the stems are twigs wrapped in the same black crepe paper. Click here for the crepe paper flower instructions.

I think these flowers would work even post-Halloween. Soften the look with some non-spooky knick knacks like this little bird for a stark centerpiece for a party or wedding.

Hope to see you tomorrow for the Inspiration Board link party.

  7. Elegant and so beautiful, Carolyn!

    I collect a lot of vintage and vintage inspired Halloween folk art, so while our Halloween decor does include ghosts, witches and jack-o-lanterns, they tend to be of the Old World type. Your crepe paper flowers would look beautiful amidst my collection, many pieces in which have crepe paper embellishments.

    Thank you so much for being a part of "A Little Birdie Told Me..." Tuesday at Rook No. 17!
