Reading: {making an impression -book review & giveaway}

I know I’ve probably said this before (and I always do mean it) but I am really, really excited about this book review and giveaway.

The book is Making an Impression – Designing & Creating Artful Stamps by Geninne Zlatkis. Geninne is an artist known for her beautiful illustrations. The reason I'm so excited about this book is because I’ve been a fan of Geninne’s for a long time and in fact, used one of her beautiful bird illustrations on a craft that I posted about here.

The book showcases Geninne’s signature love of nature and offers step-by-step photos and directions to make hand-carved stamps.

Geninne takes the process a step further and shows us how to apply the stamps to beautiful projects like these tags.

Stamped frames surround Geninne’s beautiful bird illustrations.

Simple embroidery makes this project even more special.

In addition, the book provides 50 motifs and templates featuring Geninne’s designs. The templates can be copied from the book to use for image transfer to make your own hard carved stamps or other projects.
