Etceteras: Mysterious Ocean Soap

Soap 3I sort of accidently made some fun and mysterious ocean soap.

Soap 6The depths of the ocean soap have sea glass, shells and jellyfish.

Soap 1Here’s how it came about. I had a very large empty body wash bottle that I wanted to refill.

Soap 2
I used remnants of liquid hand soap and body wash and poured them into the bottle. I discovered that they sort of just sat on top of each other. I added some sea glass which quickly sank to the bottom. The shells also sank but the plastic baubles floated on top of the bottom layer of soap.
Soap 7At this point, I was having fun with this experiment and gave the bottle a little shake. The baubles swam around and looked just like jellyfish.
Soap 8I could do this all day. The little bits swirl around in the layers of soap.

Soap 9Here’s a close up of the “ocean floor”.

Soap 10And that’s the story of my mysterious ocean soap. Try it – I bet no two bottles would ever be alike.
Thanks for visiting.
