The Inspiration Board: creative party spotlight ~115~

Happy Friday everyone! I know everyone is saying this but… how the heck did we get to the middle of August so fast? The last few weeks have been a whirlwind for me. I was out of town, on jury duty and on a college visit with my son. So I have a lot of catching up to do – a neglected house, a wilting garden and some fun creative projects. While I try to catch my breath, I hope you have a few minutes to enjoy the projects in the spotlight this week.

As always, thank you to each and everyone of you for sharing your talents here on homework. Oh, and if you didn’t get a chance to stop by this week, here is what I shared.

Now on to the featured projects.

3 Ingredient Scones l How I serve itCouches and Cupcakes shared a three ingredient scone recipe that I can’t wait to try. I love scones and this recipe is intriguing with an unusual ingredient.

Brilliant crafting idea by Grow Creative. Make your own prints using recycled styrofoam. Press into the styrofoam with a ballpoint pen to make the negative part of the image – or is that the positive part? Regardless, I love this idea.
little-cars-in-a-row2An adorable crocheted garland by Elisabeth Andree. Little colorful cars that couldn’t be cuter. How cute would this be hanging in a nursery.
cork_board4The Blissful Bee covered a corkboard with gorgeous new fabric. I love that pattern and the soft grey color is perfect.
DSC_0086The Caldwell Couple reminds us that not all toys have to be expensive. Rather than buying a pricey dollhouse, a princess castle was made out of box. Half the fun was spent creating the castle together before the creative playtime began.
Lemon-Shortbread-CookiesThe Love Nerds shares a recipe for Lemon Shortbread Cookies. I love lemon squares so this bite size morsel of shortbread and lemon filling looks to be the perfect new recipe for me.
IMG_1667azDarling book cover by Ana Love Craft. The cover opens up to more cuteness and it can adapt to any book thickness. The ric rac trim and matching bookmark make it extra special.
IMG_6147_thumb[2]Holy sweetness! Look at this adorable Bee Hive cake by The Bird and the Bicycle. This cake was made for a baby shower with the theme Mommy to Bee. So cute!
bread plateThimble Bobbin Paper and Ink has creating the perfect homemade circle. Freshly milled flour purchased in flour sacks was used to make homemade bread. The empty flour sack was repurposed and used to create a sweet bread bag.
strawberry-mice-spring-recipe-photo-420-FF0507EFCA01Spoonful shares some lunchbox treats that are so cute. These strawberry mice are almost too cute to eat! These would be great for so many occasions. A summer buffet, kids party or classroom treat. Fun!
