The Inspiration Board: creative party spotlight ~123~

Happy Friday and welcome to The Inspiration Board Spotlight – the day that I get to feature your beautiful projects. Fall is definitely in the air. Here in Southern California, the temperature soared into the 90’s for a few days but then suddenly dropped and there is a definite chill in the air. Brrrrrr.

In case you didn’t get a chance to stop by this week, here is what I was up to.

The Inspiration Board - this week on homeworkMartha Stewart Special Halloween Issue  |  Black Lace Decoupage Votive  |  Pomegranate Facial Scrub  |  I was excited to have my Fabric Swatch Hangtags were featured in Homespun Magazine

Now on to the projects in the spotlight this week:

PumpkinTrophy2Celebrating Everyday Life shared her beautiful and inspirational fall décor and mantel. Beautiful china, vintage pieces, hydrangea and pumpkins are just some of the subtle touches that make this seasonal décor so enchanting.

Halloween-magic-cookies-n-cream-bars I have a weakness for Magic Bars. I make them once in blue moon because they are pretty dangerous to have around (I have no self control). I can’t think of a better time to indulge than Halloween and Hungry Happenings Halloween Magic Bars look like a good place start.

Fall-Nesting-Crabapple-branches-make-the-Fall-Mantel-Glow-Fall...Its-Extraordinary-AnExtraordinaryDay.net_I rarely bring orange into my décor but An Extraordinary Day has completely changed my mind. The white mantel and décor pieces along with that stunning gold mirror are the perfect backdrop for frosty orange pumpkins and crabapple branches. Gorgeous!

IMG_0567I saw a project last year that used black fishnet stockings over pumpkins but I love this idea by Homespun With Love even more. Recycle your produce nets and decorate pumpkins. I’m going to be on the lookout for black produce nets.

IMG_6055aA Princess Tiana costume sewn by Peaches and Bees. Based on the movie A Princess and a Frog the detail on this costume is unbelievable. Beautiful.

babyquilt&towel5You’ll have to click over to see all the photos of this three part project by Sewing Lab. The quilt alone is so pretty and the coordinating hedgehog towel and hedgehog stuffed toy are darling.

YellowChair2cI’ve seen this idea before and I’m so intrigued. Forever Decorating painted the existing upholstery on this garage sale chair. It looks fantastic.

Sugar-Cookie-Moroccan-Style-Cut-OutMmmm sugar cookies. Look how pretty these Moroccan Cookies by Ode to Inspiration are. I love the colors and the pretty piping.

IMG_6591_hfGorgeous photography by Moois Van Me. There are several beautiful colorful images from a day in a park but this shot of a mushroom emerging from the dark soil and fallen leaves is mesmerizing.

Crock-Pot-Pumpkin-Butter-3-1024x682What to do with all those pumpkins? The Love Nerds shares a recipe for Crock Pot Pumpkin Butter. Sounds delicious!
