Be My Guest: Live Laugh Rowe

Happy Friday everyone. I’m still away and will have features from this week’s creative party up next week. In the meantime, I’m leaving you in good hands with my friend Kelly, from Live Laugh Rowe

Hi homework readers! I'm Kelly. If you aren't familiar with who I am, I'm the author of the creative lifestyle blog, Live Laugh Rowe, where I share crafts, recipes, life's moments and more. If you like to party, I host a weekly linky party where you can show off your mad talents! Now let's move on to the fun...I {love} wreaths! This is one of my favorites too. Inspired by a pin on Pinterest, I went ahead and put my spin on it and was super excited with the end result.

Be My Guest: town and country living

Friends ~ I’m out of town for a few days and have some great guests lined up to share some wonderful creativity with you. Today, please welcome Jennifer from Town and Country Living.

Hello Everyone! My name is Jennifer and I blog over at Town and Country Living. I'm so thrilled to be guest posting here at Homework! I live in a circa 1875 farmhouse and love the casual approach that farmhouse decorating brings to our busy world. Today, I want to share with you a peek into my home with its simple and easy style.

French VignettePlants play a big role in my home and plant choice is critical to lending the right casual touch. Tropical plants look more exotic while a simple Ivy is better for a cottage look. White bead board makes a great farmhouse backdrop for any vignette!

Be My Guest: The Taylor House

Friends, I’m away for a few days and have some wonderful guests lined up to share fantastic crafts, décor, recipes and more with you. And what better way to start off than with chocolate! Please welcome Chrissy from The Taylor House.

Hi, everyone! It’s Chrissy from The Taylor House! I am so excited to be sharing some of my family’s favorite Chocolate dessert recipes with you today. I have picked ten of our favorites that range from brownies to hot chocolate and all of them contain our favorite ingredient – Chocolate!

I love trying new recipes or creating my own new chocolate version of a recipe for my family. My boys love it when I make desserts and they seem to always be requesting desserts with either chocolate, peanut butter or caramel. So, I have quite a list of chocolate dessert recipes in my file and have tried to share them with my readers and fans. I think that it is my mission in life to make as many delicious looking and tasting recipes as I can!

What are your favorite dessert recipes? Do you always make them the same or do you change them up and try new things? Does your favorites include chocolate or do you prefer peanut butter or maybe even fruit? Do you prefer a cookie type dessert or more of a cake type dessert?

Etceteras: artwork from your favorite print

Shutterfly Print via homework (5)

Artwork from your favorite print has been made possible by Shutterfly and Looksi Square.

Over the years I’ve taken lots of pictures. For this blog, family, our home, kid activities, vacations and more. Somewhere along the way, I stopped creating photo albums and just saved the photos to files on my computer or on a disc or flash drive.

Etceteras: shells, shells, shells

Are you as excited about summer as I am? And once the summer bug hits, do you break out the shells, coral and starfish? I live near the coast, so I’m not sure if the shell mania is as big a deal in other parts of the world. I do know that there is plenty of beachy, shell inspiration on blogs, Pinterest and online publications. And since I love all things beach and coastal related, I thought I’d do a little shell round up to share.

If you didn’t have a chance to stop by this week, here’s what I shared.

The Dirt: Oz the Great and Powerful Fairy Garden

Oz the Great and Powerful China Town Garden via homework (1)-001

Have you seen Oz the Great and Powerful? Oh my goodness – the movie is amazing and the visuals are breathtaking. I won’t go into the whole movie since you may not have seen it and the DVD is just coming out but I was inspired to create this pretty little garden inspired by China Town, home to China Girl, a character in the movie.

Dress Code: flip flop refashion

Flip Flops 6Three cheers for summer! Here in Southern California, people wear flip flops year round. Not me – my feet get cold in the winter but once the weather warms up, I break out the flip flops and don’t look back until the winter rolls around again.
