GOOD TASTE: Compound Butter | Brown Sugar & Cinnamon

Compound Butter - Brown Sugar & Cinnamon - carolynshomework (5)Compound butter seems to be very popular right now. I’ve been seeing gorgeous blends in magazines and online. Compound butter is a mixture of butter and, well, anything you choose. Common blends are herbs, chives, honey and the version I made, brown sugar & cinnamon.

Start with good quality butter and let it soften to room temperature. Spread it on a piece of parchment paper and add the brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll the parchment paper so that the butter forms a cylinder. Place in the refrigerator to harden.

One last picture before everything completely melted and I got the butter back in the fridge. Compound butter… easy, yummy and a nice homemade gift item.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

  1. Great idea, Carolyn! This really would make a great gift, maybe with a loaf or batch of homemade bread or muffins.
