Inspiration strikes in the strangest ways sometimes. My table color scheme this year is inspired by this spool of deep red velvet ribbon.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a sneak peek of my gold & white hutch while I was working on it. I love how this turned out and just like every year, I think it’s my favorite one.

These are just some snippets of fall from some of my projects or the styling for some of my projects. I love fall and when I went through my photos recently, I put together some of my favorite. Not everyday has to include a complicated craft or diy project to keep me inspired. Sometimes it’s something as simple as some peppercorns or moss.

You probably don’t need any inspiration to get creative during the fall. There’s something about the season itself that brings out beautiful creativity, décor and cooking. But here are some things that have me inspired this fall and I thought I’d share.

I love the Dollar Store. Any dollar store; the 99 cent store, 99 cent plus, the dollar store, dollar tree or any good clearance aisle. These stores are especially great during the holidays. And Halloween brings out the best in dollar decorating. Because who wants to spend a lot of money on Halloween décor. I mean it’s fun but it’s not going to stay up for very long. I’ve rounded up some of the very best dollar store Halloween ideas. These bloggers have really raised the bar with their spooky fun.

Hello friends! Wedding season is here and I have an easy wedding idea that is budget friendly but on-trend. Wedding Birdseed to toss at the bride and groom. Tossing rice at newlyweds comes from an ancient tradition. It symbolized abundance and fertility. In recent years it was rumored that the rice left on the ground was harmful to birds. I’ve heard that this isn’t true but birdseed has become a popular replacement and I’m sure it’s much better for the birds and critters that clean up our mess.

Do you have a graduate in your house this year? I do. I can’t believe it but my spirited little guy is graduating from high school. I’m not sure if we’re throwing a party or not. We might just go low key with a small gathering but I’ve been checking out all kinds of graduation inspiration and thought I’d share some of the fun things I found.

Happy Cinco de Mayo friends! In honor of the Mexican holiday which is widely celebrated here in Southern California, I whipped up some fun Salsa Can Succulents and decorated them with some papel picado flags.

I think Easter brings out the inner-cuteness in all of us. These little wooden bunnies are so sweet I couldn’t let this season go by without using them on something.

I recently posted a beautiful round up of one dozen inspiring Easter Eggs. I seriously want to make them all! We’ll see how far I get but in the meantime, I started with these marbled eggs.
