Celebrations: cinco de mayo round up

This year Cinco de Mayo snuck up on me. Wasn’t it just Cinco de Abril? I didn’t prepare any fun and festive Cinco de Mayo projects so rather than throw a craft or recipe together, I thought I’d do round up of some of the prettiest Cindo de Mayo ideas I’ve seen.

Inkling: mother’s day piñatas

Today is Cinco de Mayo and since Mother’s Day is around the corner, I made some Mother’s Day party favors that combine the two days.

These little party favors are miniature piñatas.

I made cone shaped piñatas but any shape will do. Simply create your shape out of cardstock and glue on fringed tissue paper. Fill your piñata with candies, mints or other goodies and close up with more tissue paper.
Hang your miniature piñatas from the ceiling, place them in a basket or at each place setting.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
