It’s definitely summer here in Southern California. We’re having a heat wave and baby it’s hot!! I’m lucky to live by the coast so we should top off today below 90 degrees. I love summer. It’s my favorite season and there were loads of summer home tours linked up – several of them are featured below – plus a bunch of other fun projects. I hope you enjoy the projects featured this week. Don’t forget to stop by tomorrow when we do it all again on The Inspiration Board Creative Party.
Welcome back friends. I hope you had an amazing weekend. We cleaned out our garage over the weekend. I know, such a glamorous life. My son wants to convert the garage into a man-cave workout room. I’ll keep you posted on the progress of garage makeover. We’re at the oh my goodness we have so much junk stage. So while, I figure out what to do with all of our stuff, enjoy these gorgeous and inspiring projects featured from The Inspiration Board.
Beautifully styled and photographed, this Pomegranate Lemonade by Totally the Bomb not only is gorgeous to look but good for you and a perfect summer drink
Welcome back everyone. It's Memorial Day here in the U.S.- a day that we honor those who have sacrificed for our country. So while we enjoy a 3-day weekend, we pause to also remember the reason for this day.
Thank you to all of you who stopped by last week. You commented, visited and shared your projects on The Inspiration Board and I'm so grateful. Enjoy the day and these beautiful projects featured in the spotlight this week.
Woods of Bell Trees shares her master bedroom reveal and it's so dreamy. I love the blue tones mixed with white. So pretty and summery.
Did you have a good weekend? If you’re a mom or celebrating a mom, I hope you had a wonderful day filled with love. I’m actually out of town on business and had to travel yesterday. We plan on celebrating Mother’s Day next weekend when I’m back in town. So I spent Mother’s Day away from my family in a hotel room. I made up for it by having a nice room service dinner. Anyway, enough about that – let’s move on to the features from The Inspiration Board Creative Party.
A giant thank you to all of you who visited, commented and shared your talent here last week. I hope you had a chance to visit, but in case you didn’t, here’s a glimpse at what I’ve been up to.
Welcome to a new week on homework. I’m so glad to see you back. Can you believe we’ve hit the last week in April? Spring is flying by and we will soon be in the lazy hazy days of summer. Well, not quite lazy or even hazy but summer. I can’t wait. Have you been busy creating and making things? Here’s a little glimpse at what I’ve been up to.
Welcome back everyone. I hope you had a fabulous weekend. We had summer weather here in Southern California. We enjoyed temperatures in the 80’s along the coast and it felt wonderful. I worked on the master bedroom makeover some more and my aching muscles are proof of the progress I’m making. I got the rest of the bureaus painted and the curtains hung. Hooray for progress. I hope your weekend was filled with nice weather and fun things.
In case you haven’t had a chance to drop in lately, here’s what I’ve been sharing.

First up, here’s what I’ve been sharing here on homework.
Hello friends! Welcome to a new week here at homework. Did you remember to Spring Forward? I actually love it when it stays lighter into the evening but I think we should just leave it alone and stop the clock changes. And if we have to spring forward, I saw a meme on Facebook that said, “Who came up with the brilliant idea of moving the clocks forward on the weekend in the middle of the night…how about Friday at 4:00 PM.” Yup, sounds good to me!
So while we adjust to the time change, we can at least enjoy some beautiful projects featured from The Inspiration Board. First here’s a glimpse at what I’ve been sharing.
Welcome to The Inspiration Board Spotlight friends. The day I get share your amazing talent. I hope you had a wonderful weekend relaxing, creating and enjoying the pre-spring weather. I started the weekend Friday night at my son’s volleyball match. He plays for the local college and we came away with the win! There’s nothing I enjoy more than watching him play. It seems like just yesterday I was sitting at his t-ball games and now he’s playing college-level sports. Time sure flies.
Before we get to the features, here’s a little recap of what I’ve been sharing here on homework.
Welcome back everyone and Happy Leap Year Day! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I finished our dining room bay window makeover this weekend and I’m obviously out of shape because I’m so sore. Hat’s off to you home décor and diy experts. Actually, my husband and I used to do a lot of diy projects but we've slowed down and now we’re on that cycle of everything needs improvement again. Anyway, I can’t wait to show you the dining room reveal soon. I just need to finish up some of the decorating part and then we’ll be done.
Now let’s move on to the projects featured in the spotlight and a little recap of what I’ve been sharing.
Did you have a nice weekend? I sure hope so. It was nice to leave this week behind and unwind since I had one of “those” weeks last week. I’ve waited 3 months for my new dishwasher [long story…] and it finally got installed only to find it’s defective and I have to wait another month for a new one. I had also hired a handy man to work on some things around the house and he canceled, plus a variety of other irritating things. But it’s hard to complain since these are all luxury items and I have a roof over my head and a place to sleep. Right?
So let’s forget about all that and be inspired by the projects featured this week.
Hello friends! Today is a holiday in the U.S. and thank goodness for the 3-day weekend. I got back in town Friday night and came home to a very messy house. The boys did their best – sort of – but their idea of picking up and keeping things clean are a far cry from mine. My son’s room looked and smelled like a gym locker room and the rest of the house was pretty bad too. I was not happy and on Saturday, I had all hands on deck cleaning and sanitizing the house. After cleaning, I sat down with my cup of coffee to stroll through the link ups from The Inspiration Board. Thank goodness for you guys because I was instantly transported to your homes, kitchens and craft rooms and all was well in my world again.
So enjoy these wonderful inspirational ideas featured from The Inspiration Board.
Welcome to a new week on homework everyone. So happy to have you pop by. I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I’m out of town this week for my day job so I spent the weekend watching my son play volleyball, packing and trying to clean up a bit around the house.
A big thank you to everyone that visited last week and shared projects on The Inspiration Board. You’re going to love today’s features. But first, here’s a little recap of what I’ve been sharing.
Hello, hello friends. Welcome back. I hope you had a fantastic weekend! We celebrated some milestones with my family this weekend with a nice dinner – my Dad’s 95th birthday, my brother’s birthday and our 25th anniversary. Family time is always the best. A big thank you to all of you that stopped by last week and to those of you who shared projects on The Inspiration Board. In case you missed anything, here’s what I’ve been sharing.
Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to a new week here on homework. Today in the United States it’s a holiday as we honor Martin Luther King and enjoy a 3-day weekend. I’ve been busy getting caught up from a week of business travel and prepping to head out again in a few weeks so last week I shared some organization projects from my archives. I’m hoping to have some time to create some new things soon.
Thank you to everyone who shared on The Inspiration Board last week. The projects were amazing as always and I’m so happy you generously share your talent here. So, let’s move on to the projects in the spotlight this week.
Hello friends! Welcome to a brand new week here at homework. I’m getting ready to head out of town again on another business trip for a week and since it’s only been a few weeks since my last trip, I’m woefully behind. I have projects I’m itching to get to, pictures I need to take and after this trip I’m hoping to get back on pace. How about you? Are you finding yourself behind these days. It’s the preseason warm up friends! We need to get ready for the real holiday craziness. So in case you missed anything here on homework lately, here’s what I’ve been sharing.
Welcome to a new week on homework! Let me start by saying “thank you” for a record breaking link party. Wow! I’ve been hosting this link up for over four years and this was by far the most links ever. And not just a lot of links but always amazing creativity. I can’t thank you enough for sharing your talent here. It’s inspiring! I hope the projects I’ve been sharing have inspired you. In case you missed anything lately, here’s what I’ve been up to.
Hello friends! I just got back into town from a business trip and guess what I did first? Yup, I worked on this features post. I had planned to work at night in my hotel room on a few blog related things but the hotel wifi was sketchy. It makes you appreciate home sweet home all that much more. I mean, not having to cook, clean or do dishes for a week is nice but it’s always a great feeling to walk back in your front door. You know what else I appreciate? All of you friends that link up here on The Inspiration Board. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. And, in case you missed anything here on homework, here’s what I’ve been sharing.
