homework: reading {crafting with cat hair}

I know. You probably think I’ve totally lost it. I mean, crafting with cat hair? It sounds crazy. That’s what I thought when Quirk Books asked me to take a look at their latest crafting book Crafting with Cat Hair: Cute Handicrafts to Make with Your Cat by Kaori Tsutaya.

But when I saw the book and the adorable projects, I was sold. When you think about it - this isn’t very different than needle felting with wool or wearing cashmere which is made from the undercoat of the Kashmir goat. And if you have a cat, you’ll have a steady supply of fiber.

The book is translated from the original Japanese version and showcases a variety of fun and quirky projects – all made from the hair from several feline contributors.

Adorable little boxes with cat hair figurines.

Framed fuzzy friends.

A fun pincushion and more. The book is beautifully photographed and has step-by-step instructions for each project. It even includes tips for cat care.

Crafting with Cat Hair from Quirk Books. Definitely quirky. Definitely adorable.
