Upcycling: plastic greenhouses

Reminder:

Tomorrow is my very first link party.
Please join me tomorrow - Tuesday, June 7th and be ready to link up your projects. I’m looking for projects to feature and can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to.

Spread the news… Homework’s first link party tomorrow - Tuesday, June 7th.

I’ve been saving a couple of plastic trays – you know, the kind that come with store-bought breakfast rolls – the rolls are yummy, not like homemade yummy but still pretty good.  I saved the trays with an idea to make some greenhouses.

I recalled a post I had seen over at Michelle Made Me. Michele made some amazing Christmas Ornaments out of sheets of plastic. Michele is an upcycling extraordinaire.

Inspired by Michele’s miniature ornaments, I made some greenhouses large enough to cover the smallest size terra cotta pot.

The plastic cylinder is a parmesan cheese container (the kind you sprinkle not freshly grate onto your pasta).
The rectangular greenhouse is made out of a leftover plastic box top.

The greenhouse roofs are made from the breakfast roll trays.

Store bought breakfast rolls and parmesan cheese – a lot of calories went into making these greenhouses.
