ETCETERAS: Gold Leaf Concrete Planter

Gold Leaf Concrete Planter via homework | carolynshomework.com

Happy Monday everyone! I’m so excited to share this project with you. This is another craft I’ve been eager to try. Gold leaf seems to be all the rage and I finally got some gold leaf sheets and tested out the technique. What fun!

Upcycling: faux patina

Do you like the look of patina and rust?

Some people collect vintage rusty items while others think of rusty items as junk. I love the look of vintage rusty cans, especially to use as planters or vases.

Originally, I planned to create my own rusty cans by letting my cans rust naturally. But then I found this great site that offered images of rust and patina. You can check it out here.

I printed out some of the textures of rust and Mod Podged them onto my cans.

Instant patina!
