I have such a fun book that I’m reviewing today. Craft-a-Day by Sarah Goldschadt is a simple and whimsical craft resource. I just love looking at the cover and the cute projects inside. It’s jam packed with patterns, instructions and over 400 photographs.
The author, Sarah Goldschadt is a freelance graphic designer and has worked for many magazines including, Food Network Magazine, Do It Yourself and Kid’s Rooms. She has also freelanced for Oprah, Better Homes and Gardens and Martha Stewart Living.
Advanced crafters may find most of these projects too basic but casual crafters and even little crafters will love the simple and unique projects in this book.
The projects are organized by by weekly themes, like cloud week, owl week and heart week.
The ideas are simple but well executed and very fun. I love this gnome terrarium idea.
The book also includes templates, basic techniques and a list of craft supplies. None of the projects in the book require fancy tools so anyone can jump in and get crafty.
Cute ideas incorporate trendy ideas like chalkboard paint.
And of course mini garlands.
Simple paper projects look clean and festive.
The book is a wonderful addition to any craft library. Advanced crafters can use it as a go to reference for basic ideas while new or casual crafters can gain experience creating some or all of the fun projects. The book would also make a great gift for a friend or little crafter.
I was lucky to receive an additional copy of this book to giveaway to one of you.

Looks like a great book! My cousins would totally get a kick out of it. We're used to buying craft books and magazines and sitting down for a "creativity night" every other week. :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful book to use and to share with my crafty friends! (we have a "lending" library amongst us to so that none of us are overwhelmed!)
ReplyDeleteIt looks so fun!! I think it would be fun to do some projects with my daughter!
ReplyDeleteThis book looks fantastically adorable! I work at an after school program once a week, and I'd love to try some of these ideas with the kids. The same kids don't do the same activity every week, so crafts that span more than one session often don't get completed. One specific project would really give my sessions a lot more direction. Thanks for the chance to win it, and thanks for sharing some info about it!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see this post! Amazon suggested it to me when I was looking at another craft-related book, but I wasn't sure about it. Seeing your post, it seems it might not be my cup of tea, although I can still think of a few people (and their children!) who'd enjoy it. Being a UK resident I can't participate in the giveaway but I'm sure whoever wins will get the utmost enjoyment out of that book!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! What a great giveaway!
