ETCETERAS: Anthropologie Inspired Pencils

Anthropologie Inspired Pencils via homework | carolynshomework.comWith spring around the corner, I’m finding myself drawn to bright colors. It’s like going from Kansas to Oz. Suddenly, all my white on white décor needs splashes of bright blooms and other colorful accents.

Anthropologie Inspired Pencils via homework | carolynshomework.comI was browsing through the Anthropologie site and found some bright and cheerful pencils that I knew I could make myself. A jar of colorful pencils would be a perfect way to bring a bit of happy to my desk!

073675_095_bThese are the Anthro Banerole Pencils. Adorable!

Anthropologie Inspired Pencils via homework | carolynshomework.comAnd these are my versions. I happened to have some polka dot tissue paper that was perfect to knock off the Banderole Pencil.

Anthropologie Inspired Pencils via homework | carolynshomework.comTo make these pencils, simply cut a piece of tissue paper about 2 inches longer than your pencil. Roll the tissue paper around your pencil and adhere with Mod Podge or glue.

Anthropologie Inspired Pencils via homework | carolynshomework.comI used Mod Podge Sparkle for some extra fun. Once the Mod Podge has dried, cut the tops into fringe and twist.

Anthropologie Inspired Pencils via homework | carolynshomework.comBright, cheerful and fun!

Anthropologie Inspired Pencils via homework | carolynshomework.comYou could always wrap up a few and use them as a little gift.
