Etceteras: fabric covered storage jars
Some craft supplies are too pretty to tuck away in bins and drawers. I love looking at my vintage buttons and scraps of lace and ribbon so I like to keep them in jars.

The Inspiration Board: link party spotlight ~89~
Happy Friday everyone! Did you survive the day of love? Some people love Valentine’s Day and some people don’t. I like to keep things low key around here. A special home cooked dinner, dessert and family. No matter how you spent your Valentine’s Day, I hope it was filled with the most important thing… love!
Now on to the features. The Inspiration Board was brimming with Valentine ideas. Tons of inspiration to file and pin for next year. There were also plenty of home décor, recipe, and craft ideas. If you linked up a project, thank you for sharing your creativity.
Here are the projects in the spotlight this week.
An ottoman from a church rummage sale gets an amazing new life as a one-of-a-kind décor piece. Hand painted with Sharpies and craft paint, Annumography transformed the plain piece with a fantastic tribal motif.

Good Taste: graeter’s black cherry chocolate chip ice cream
Have you heard of Graeter’s Ice Cream? They’ve been making ice cream since 1870 and are now in their fourth generation of family ownership. They asked me to try out their ice cream and first new flavor in 3 years – Black Cherry Chocolate Chip. It was a happy day when that freezer cooler of ice cream arrived on my doorstep.

Etceteras: simple rope bowl cozy
The weather is still a bit chilly and we’re eating a lot of cozy, comfort food like soup and pasta. I have a set of these plain white bowls that I use all the time. So I’m making a set of bowl cozies to use with them.

Etceteras: perk up a dollar store trivet
I picked up a plain wooden trivet at the dollar store recently and once again, I’m saying to myself “why didn’t I get more?”. They’re like blank canvases. You could paint them in bright colors, paint the slats with an ombre effect or paint and stencil them like I did.

The Inspiration Board: link party spotlight ~87~
It’s Friday {TGIF}! Welcome to the Inspiration Board Spotlight. A big thank you to everyone who came by and shared their wonderful creativity on the Inspiration Board this week. I’m always amazed by your talent.
Today is the first day of February which means… spring is just around the corner. I’m excited, I’m a little tired of being cold and shivery. The older I get, the more I understand why the elderly live in Florida and love afghans.
And, in case you didn’t get a chance to stop by this week, here’s what I was shared.
