HOMEROOM: Master Bedroom Makeover (Part 1 Dresser)

I am finally going to makeover our master bedroom. This is the saddest room in the house. Original inexpensive furniture from when we first got married, mismatched décor, old blinds and curtains and the list goes on and on. It’s going to be a slow process since I only have weekends to work on the projects. This will be the first of several posts and I’m starting with one of the dressers.

I know a Rolodex is outdated and is probably going to obsolete soon but I use mine all the time. I’ve toted it from job to job and over the years collected tons of business cards. One day, I’ll weed through it and maybe even dump it and just use my phone contacts. But for now it lives on my desk and it was an eyesore.

We’re halfway through March and closing in on Easter friends. I love this time of year. The weather is warming up and it’s time to think about gardening, flip flops and longer days. Hello friends! Welcome to a new week here at homework. Did you remember to Spring Forward? I actually love it when it stays lighter into the evening but I think we should just leave it alone and stop the clock changes. And if we have to spring forward, I saw a meme on Facebook that said, “Who came up with the brilliant idea of moving the clocks forward on the weekend in the middle of the night…how about Friday at 4:00 PM.” Yup, sounds good to me!

So while we adjust to the time change, we can at least enjoy some beautiful projects featured from The Inspiration Board. First here’s a glimpse at what I’ve been sharing.

Welcome to The Inspiration Board Spotlight friends. The day I get share your amazing talent. I hope you had a wonderful weekend relaxing, creating and enjoying the pre-spring weather. I started the weekend Friday night at my son’s volleyball match. He plays for the local college and we came away with the win! There’s nothing I enjoy more than watching him play. It seems like just yesterday I was sitting at his t-ball games and now he’s playing college-level sports. Time sure flies.

Happy Friday friends. Today’s High Five actually contains 6 things because I was browsing some of Target’s new products and loved them all equally. I think my new dining room makeover has me itching to freshen everything, including dishes, flatware and then move to other areas in my house. Does that happen to you? You change one thing and then suddenly notice how bad everything else looks. Sigh... it's a vicious cycle.
