Etceteras: fabric covered storage jars

Some craft supplies are too pretty to tuck away in bins and drawers. I love looking at my vintage buttons and scraps of lace and ribbon so I like to keep them in jars.

Adding a bit of fabric to the top of jar is a quick and easy way to make your jars even more special.

To secure the fabric I used Mod Podge on the jar lid and positioned my piece of fabric on the lid. A strip of grosgrain ribbon holds everything in place.

Blog JarsAnd then I couldn’t resist adding a few flowers and pretty bottles.

Vintage buttons, weathered wood and pretty knick knacks make me smile.

Baby’s breath from the Valentine flowers that my husband gave me. So delicate and pretty.

Two new jars to add to my growing jar collection.

Thanks for visiting.

  3. What a great idea for storing pretty little things like buttons, which I think can be like tiny pieces of art, especially vintage buttons. Your jars are gorgeous and alone make a statement. I have some pretty vintage buttons and ribbon, I'm going to have to co-op this idea and see what I can come up with!
