Etceteras: simple rope bowl cozy

The weather is still a bit chilly and we’re eating a lot of cozy, comfort food like soup and pasta. I have a set of these plain white bowls that I use all the time. So I’m making a set of bowl cozies to use with them.

This rope is so fun. It’s apple green, moss green, red and white.

To make this bowl cozy, I wrapped one of my bowls in cellophane. Then I used craft glue to hold the rope together. As I glued, I used painter’s tape to hold it all together.

Once it was completely dry, I removed the bowl and cellophane. To reinforce it, I brushed Mod Podge around the inside of the bowl. If you stare at this picture for too long, you might get dizzy or or worse, hypnotized.

Then I whipped up one of my favorite pasta recipes. It’s a creamy chicken and pasta dish from Real Simple. Here’s the recipe if you want to try it.

P.S. I did get hypnotized for a bit but it was the most relaxation I've had in quite a while so I may be back to stare more often.
