Spring is around the corner and I'm already enjoying the warmer weather and blue sky. I've been busy in my garden and in preparation hope to attract butterflies this year with a sweet little butterfly feeder.
Easter is around the corner and now that I don’t have a little one at home, I don’t go all out on an Easter basket for cute bunny décor anymore. But it wouldn’t be any fun without some type of Easter project.
The past few months have been so busy between business travel, my son’s sports schedule and squeezing in the master bedroom makeover, I almost didn’t decorate my dining room hutch.
My spring pink décor continues. As I mentioned when I first shared my spring hutch, I used pink as an accent color this year. A first for me. To bring a little more pink to the room, I created this spring hoop wreath.
TGIF friends! We made it through another week sharing creativity. I’m hoping to get caught up this weekend and create some new projects to share with you, clean my house and put away the laundry that’s been sitting in baskets since last weekend (no lie!). And if I have time, I would love to work on refreshing with some of these amazing spring projects I found.
I’ve mentioned this before but I don’t have a mantel so I decorate this hutch in my dining room every season. This year I went with a color I’ve never used before – pink.
A few days before Easter, my mom gave me these gorgeous purple tulips. And before I went to her house on Easter, I picked up this pretty bouquet of white and purple flowers for her.
It’s time everyone. Time to get the garden going. If you’re not quite to the point to head outside and start digging up the plant beds, you can start small with these fun and unique container ideas. The best part is they are all recycled or repurposed items. Oh yeah… it’s good to be green.
I recently posted a beautiful round up of one dozen inspiring Easter Eggs. I seriously want to make them all! We’ll see how far I get but in the meantime, I started with these marbled eggs.
When you have a creative and craft blog, people give you all kinds of goodies because “you can do something with this”. I recently received a bunch of pots and they all have tons of potential.
Every year I’m in awe of the beautiful and creative ways that people come up with to decorate Easter eggs. I’ve rounded up some of my favorites and none of these are difficult to create. I can’t wait to try out some of these techniques. They are all absolutely inspiring.
A while back, I participated in a Hometalk | Michaels event. You can read about it here. One of the projects we could create for the event was a decorated birdcage. I was disappointed because my store was all out of birdcages.

I know we’re all eager for spring and it really is just around the corner. I can’t wait to get outside and plant a spring vegetable garden. This year, I’m going to add more herbs to my garden and these cute plant flags will handy so I can identify my plants.
This project started off innocently enough. I bought this miniature cake stand and thought I’d add a bit of moss and eggs for spring. It doesn’t get any easier than that.
There’s something about the anticipation of summer that not only energizes me but also calms me. Summer days mean a less hectic schedule, more family time and more time for creativity. Yay Summer!

Last week I showed you my little Japanese Spring Garden Seedlings. I’ve been taking really good care of them and I’m so excited about the possibility of actually harvesting these yummy veggies. The seedlings are Kabocha, Japanese Eggplant and Japanese Cucumber. You can read more about these vegetables here.
I’m so excited to get my vegetable garden going. My mom brought over these little seedlings the other day. Her neighbor gave them to her and my mom passed them along to me.
It’s definitely spring in my neck of the woods. The weather went from gloomy to fresh and sunny recently. Although I was ready for the change in seasons, my patio wasn’t. The cushions and pillows on my patio furniture have had it. They were old, faded and dingy. I would show you a picture but honestly, they were so bad it’s horrifying.
