ETCETERAS: Leather Wrapped Utensils

Leather Wrapped Utensils via homework | carolynshomework.comHere’s a quick and easy way to transform inexpensive wooden serving utensils into unique pieces or even gifts. Use strips of leather cording to create easy-to-hold handles.

You can buy leather cording at craft or hobby stores.

I simply started wrapping the leather cording from the bottom up and wrapped over the exposed end. When I was almost to the top, I started a second piece from the top down and tied the ends together to form a loop to hand the utensils. Crystal beads add a little bling and finish off the ends.

Now you hang them up by the loops or put them in that big jar of cooking and serving spoons.

If you don’t have leather cording, you can use twine for a rustic look. It’s just a fun way to jazz up plain old wooden utensils.
