Aloha Homework Readers!
I'm Shannon and I'm sharing a little island style Aloha Wreath with you today!
Summer is officially here.. and who doesn't love Hawaii?
In celebration of the season and my love for the islands, I whipped this up!
And you can too.
The base is a Pool Noodle. Secured in a circle with clear packing tape.
I used some on the flip flops from the Dollar Tree on each side. Popped a little washi tape on then for fun, then strung up a little mini banner between the two.
You can use about anything to make the banners on this style of wreath.
I used a tiny snippet of fabric and some paper tags with washi tape.
Even simply knotting some fabric like I did here, is great trick if you like things easy!
It reminds me of Hawaii.
I can almost hear the waves now...
Each flip flop has a tiny fabric flower - They are so cute, and I love the accent.
Once you make one, you'll be able to make them in a snap!
I added a bow and glued a starfish right in the middle to top it off.
I felt like it completed the "beachy vibe".
I keep my little slice of Hawaii on a shelf.
In my home. Nice and safe.
My silly Oregon weather is just too unpredictable and my front door not protected enough.
I have to say... Carolyn makes some amazing crafts, I was a little intimidated to share mine, so thanks for letting me visit today!
Thank you so much Shannon. Now I want to go away again – this time to the islands of Hawaii!
Thanks for visiting.
Aloha:) so beautiful!
