Homeroom: Blue and Natural Fall Hutch

Blue and Natural Fall Hutch via homework - carolynshomwork (4)Decorating for fall this year was not an easy task. Why? Because it’s still scorching hot here in Southern California. But I persevered and brought autumn into my home.

Blue and Natural Fall Hutch via homework - carolynshomwork (8)September is often the hottest month here and even October can be quite warm. But I’m hoping by bringing elements of fall in I can somehow will the weather to change. I want to bake and make soup and feel cozy.

This year I pulled out my blue Finlandia dishes and used natural elements in fall colors to set the mood.

Faux pears and real limes from my tree make a pretty centerpiece with some pretty fall leaves.

The deep burgundy Eucalyptus is so rich and I can probably use it up until the holidays.

I haven’t used this piece in years but fell in love all over again with my carved wooden heart bowl.

This good thoughts friends for cooler weather. I guess I should be careful what I wish for because before you know it, the weather will be cold and I’ll be wishing for summer all over again.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
