Do you remember candy necklaces? They were little discs of candy on an elastic string. From what I remember, they weren’t very good.
Here’s a simple do it yourself candy necklace that would be a great party favor for a child’s birthday.
I chose Lemonhead candies because summer is just around the corner and the lemony yellow color would make a great summer party theme. They’re also a nice shape to wrap and not sticky.
To make a candy necklace, cut a strip of cello wrap about 2” wide by 36” (the length of the roll). Line up your candies and twist the cello wrap around each piece of candy. Tie the twisted part with ribbon or string. Leave enough string on each end to tie the necklace together.
You can use jelly beans, gummies, gum balls – whatever matches your party theme. Each guest will have a fun necklace to wear home and eat later.
