FRIDAY: High Five

I’ve been so busy lately I haven’t been posting my Friday High Five. The Friday High Five is all about 5 things from my week. An accomplishment, fun outing, something I bought or want to buy… anything that I want to high five about. And since it’s been, like forever since my last high five post. These photos are from the past month. So without further ado, here are the latest things I’m high fiving about.

Lemon Pound CakeThe month started with another business trip to Washington. Every few months, I travel to Seattle / Bellevue and work from the corporate office. It’s always jam packed with meetings, social outings and sore feet. When I leave and after I make it through TSA, I always treat myself to the lemon pound cake and CafĂ© Mocha from the airport Starbucks. My new obsession is to substitute regular milk for coconut milk.

El Gaucho LunchBellevue, and Seattle have some amazing restaurants and I had a fun girls’ lunch out with coworkers at El Gaucho. I had the cup of French Onion Soup and Crab Cakes.

Gigi the SquirrelBack home and the view from my home office. Gigi the squirrel visits me every day and wants her sunflower seeds. She let’s me know she’s hungry by coming to my window.

Wet n Wild Lip Pencil
My new obsession. This super cheap drugstore lipstick. Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain. I’ve bought 4 and love them. My favorite colors are Lady and the Vamp and Truffle in Paradise.

shareFromBeautyPlusFor my son’s music class, he had to attend a classical music concert of his choice. He couldn’t get anyone to go with him – I can’t understand why – I mean what teen wouldn’t want to listen Mozart and Shubert. The concert was at UCLA and I went with him. He owes me big time! The music was nice but it was long. He snapped this picture of me before the concert when I was still smiling.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
Thanks for visiting.

  1. I so agree about coconut milk... last time I was at Starbuck's to get my usual hot chai latte, the girl suggested coconut milk... wow, never going back to nonfat milk again.

  3. I often use coconut milk, Carolyn. I do like all forms of regular milk, but finally realized that I am somewhat lactose intolerant. I really like the subtle coconut flavor and slight sweetness of coconut milk. Last Friday I went to see a movie with my two married daughters and sister-in-law. The movie, was great and being out with my girls for a movie and dinner together was a welcomed change of pace. The picture of you is gorgeous!
