Celebrations: black velvet napkin rings

I had a lot of black velvet leftover from my big plan to sell black Halloween pumpkins in my Etsy Shop {not one sold}…

That’s okay – you can use black velvet for a lot of projects.

First up – black velvet napkin rings. Nothing new about this project. You simply use paper towel tubes and cut them into several short tubes. Wrap your tube with fabric and glue to the inside.

I tied little ornaments onto the napkin ring with Pearl Cotton embroidery floss.

I love the crisp white linen against the lush black velvet.

And it wouldn’t be Christmas without a splash of red poinsettias.
