Celebrations: handmade gift recap

What happened to November? I had big plans to get all my holiday shopping done, my Christmas cards made and handmade gifts completed. I’m 0-3.

I’ve pulled together a recap of some of my handmade gift ideas that will hopefully get me moving.

{Food and Beverage}
Gifts Food
1. Coffee Sampler – a nice gift for a coffee lover. I made mine masculine complete with a pinstripe suiting fabric box.
2. Graham Cracker Toffee & Chocolate Bars – the perfect holiday gift. This one is always a hit.
3. Snowman Soup Kit – great for kids {and grown ups}. Hot chocolate, marshmallows, chocolate morsels and candy cane stirrers all packaged up and ready for a chilly night.
4. Tea Bag Gift Box – make your own tea and tea bags out of muslin or cheesecloth for the tea lover.
5. Upcycled Strawberry Basket – make a cute gift box out of a green plastic strawberry basket. Add some homemade goodies for a sweet gift.

{Gift Card Holders}
Gift Holder
Gift cards have become a gifting staple. It’s nice to add a handmade gift card holder to personalize these gifts a little.
1. No-Sew Felt Gift Box – This little puffy box looks great and is much easier to make than it looks.
2. Paper Gift Card Holders – A great way to use of scraps of paper and embellishments.
3. Burlap Gift Card Holders – For those who share my love for burlap and twine.

Gift Recap Garden
1. Seed Strip Garland – Upcycle a bottle into a vase. Make some ready to plant seed strips and you’ve got the makings for a flower bed and the vase to hold the flowers.
2. Faux Wrought Iron Plant Sticks – Plant sticks made from wooden skewers and cardboard. A coat of metallic spray paint creates instant faux wrought iron. Add a nice note and an herb plant for a fun gift idea.
3. Moss Covered Gift Cans – Upcycle cans and cover them with moss to hold fun gardening themed gifts like seeds, bulbs and plant sticks.

Gifts Misc
1. Emergency Kit – This kit is a nice gift for newlyweds or new homeowners. In case the power goes out, they’ll be armed with emergency candles and matches.
2. Mini Photo Album – photos always make nice gifts and a handmade photo album filled with photos would be a treasured gift for grandparents.
3. Homemade Sugar Scrub – Make your own sugar scrub and package it in a pretty jar.
4. Pin Cushion – Wrap a box in fiber fill and fabric to make a pretty pin cushion. Include a few sewing notions for a crafty friend.

I hope you enjoyed this handmade gift recap. I really need to get moving on my to-do list.
