The other day as I stared into my pantry looking for something to snack on, I realized I had steel cut oats, some cereal that no one was going to finish, and some peanuts and chocolate. I could eat the chocolate and call it a day or whip up some granola.
The homemade granola won out over the chocolate fest. Making homemade granola is really easy and it tastes so much better than store-bought versions.

The nice thing about making your own granola is that you can personalize it to your taste or use up bits of goodies from your pantry.

To start with, you need rough cut oats not instant oatmeal.

You can cut the granola into bars for easy snacking.

Or break it up into clusters. Either way, it’s a delicious snack that doesn’t even resemble the dried out packaged, cardboard-tasting granola you can buy.

Enjoy!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
