Inkling: pretty file folders {martha stewart paper}
Hello friends! Do you enter giveaways? I don’t scour the Internet looking to enter tons of giveaways but I do enter giveaways hosted by other blogs when the prize is something I would love to have. I’ve won some fun things too.
I know I’ll find lots of uses for these pretty coordinated papers and the first thing on my list was to make pretty file folders.
To make these file folders just measure an existing manila folder and cut your paper. A rounded corner punch will give your corners a nice rounded edge. Remember, the back piece will be taller than the front piece so that you can label your folder. I used clear packaging tape to stick my back and front pieces together. Packaging tape goes on super clear so you won’t even see it. Plus, it will reinforce the bottom edge of the folder. If you want to cover the tape, add another strip of paper over it.
And since I don’t like to waste, I used the trimmings to make these cute business cards.
By the way, did you know that I have an ongoing Giveaway Link Party. You can link up your giveaways and visit the links to enter for a lot of great prizes – because it’s always fun to win a pretty prize.
Thanks for visiting.

Inkling: business cards
When I had my business cards printed, I didn’t have an Etsy shop and so my box of 500 business cards only includes my blog and email address.

My business cards were still correct. I just wanted to add my Etsy shop information. I used the idea of a felt-backed card and printed out addendum business cards.
Now I have two business cards that can be combined or used separately.

My blog colors are blue and beige so I made some cards backed with blue felt and some with beige cotton that I fringed. To combine the cards, I used a micro punch and tied together with coordinating cotton twine.

The combined cards are perfect to add to outgoing shop items.
Thank you for the inspiration Food Wine and Mod Podge. I’m so happy with my new business cards.

Inkling: hang tag rolodex
Here’s an easy way to organize business cards.
Use a book ring and hang tags to create a rolodex.
To make the alphabet, I used background images and typed in the letters over the image. Then I cut the strips of paper and taped them onto the hang tags.
Punch a hole in the business cards and file them.
You can make this using the A-Z system or instead use categories such as; craft suppliers, fabric stores or creative resources.
If you’re high tech, you would probably just enter the information into your electronic address book or cell phone. But if you enjoy saving beautiful and interesting business cards this is an easy way to keep them on file.
