Hooray – it’s Tuesday. Welcome to The Inspiration Board. I’m so happy you’re here and willing to share your creativity. If you’re new to homework, leave me a comment and let me know so that I can connect with you. Have you been busy creating or are you soaking in the warm summer days? August is just around the corner and this is when the back-to-school panic sets in. Are you ready? I know I still have a lot of organizing to do before we pack up my big guy and say goodbye at his new college.
Well, let’s get the creative party started. I know I’m ready.
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week and are heading into an even better weekend! Thank you so much for stopping by this week and sharing your creativity on The Inspiration Board. In case you missed anything here, here’s what I shared:
Every July 11th or 7/11, the 7-Eleven Convenience Stores give away free Slurpees. Have you ever had a Slurpee? They’re a frozen, icy, sugary beverage that tastes so good on a hot day. I didn’t get my free Slurpee this year which made me sad. So I started thinking about how I could easily make something similar. Have you heard of Granita? It’s a fancy Slurpee! Doesn’t Granita sound better than Slurpee? Actually, a Granita is better than a Slurpee and as I was checking out granita ideas, I realized that you can pretty much make them in a rainbow of colors and flavors.

Over the years, I used countless flowers in my posts here at homework. I’ve created all types of faux flowers and used fresh flowers either as the star of a post or as part of the styling for a post. These are just a few of the times, I included flowers in my photos.
Hello everyone! I’m so happy that you are here to join me for The Inspiration Board. I’ve been hosting this link party for over 3 years look forward to it every single week. If you’re new here, leave me a comment and let me know so that I can connect with you. For those of you who have been coming around for awhile, I’m so grateful! So, what have you been working on? Summer is whizzing by. Are you getting ready with back-to-school projects? Or thinking ahead to the fall season? I’ve been busy getting my son ready for move-in day for college. I think I’m going to need a group hug when he leaves…
But for now, on to the creative party. Are you ready to share your amazing creativity?
There are many methods to age metal. Depending on the type of metal and the look you want, you can turn your new metal objects into super rusty pieces, chippy, a patina finish or the look of galvanized metal. I was going for the galvanized metal look and ended up with galvanized metal with rust.
Happy Friday everyone! It’s so good to be back. I’m staying put for awhile but as I announced on Tuesday at the link party, I’ve started working full time again and so things may get a little hectic. My goal is to continue here on my blog as if nothing has changed. Wish me luck…
If things were hectic for you and you didn’t have a chance to stop by this week, here’s what was happening here on homework.
Plus, I have a fantastic giveaway for a $500 Visa Gift Card and HP Chromebook. Enter the giveaway here.
A huge thank you to all of you who stopped by this week, commented, emailed and shared your creativity on The Inspiration Board. You all make me smile and inspire me! And now for the projects in the spotlight this week.
