The Inspiration Board: Spotlight 178 & Hello Fall Inspiration

Happy Halloween everyone. Now that my son is away at college, I seriously almost forgot it was Halloween. I mean, I have a pumpkin on the front porch and a bowl of candy ready but I had to remind myself that the little trick or treaters will be showing up tonight. Are you ready for Halloween? I hope so!

As always, I huge thank you to all of you that shared projects on The Inspiration Board this week. Everything was gorgeous and inspiring as always.

Here’s a little recap of what I posted about this week.

And now for the projects featured in the Spotlight this week:

image169I love simple table settings and beautiful napkin rings. This Glitter Glass Napkin Ring by Karen’s Up on the Hill is right up my alley. Just the right touch of sparkle to create an elegant look.

Letter cardSuch a pretty paper project by Sum of their Stories. A feminine and flowery letter birthday card that’s sure to be treasured.

IMG_3100Little Red Window created this 3D Flower Wall Hanging based on one she saw at a store. I like her version better! Very striking!

skadi jacob 3Horrific Knits hand spins and created this beautiful yarn with the variegated colors. What a wonderful lost art to master. I’d love to give it a “spin” some day.

Birthday-Dinner20141010-19Lemon Thistle shows us how to set a luxe table on a budget. Purple was the Pantone color of the year and it makes for a beautiful table setting.

oats-002Doesn’t this just scream autumn? All She Cooks shares Cranberry Pecan Baked Oatmeal. Sounds like the perfect cool morning breakfast.

Black-and-Gold-Glam-Halloween-TablescapeI love this grown up Halloween table by Black and White Obsession. Black and gold accents look incredible for a bewitching evening.

Asparagus5Eliza Ellis share 5 ways to prepare asparagus and this Crumbed Asparagus with Mayo was my favorite. Baked with panko crumbs and dipped in whole egg mayo. Yum.

SHOW & TELL: Homemade Gift Round Up

Homemade Gift Round Up via carolynshomework.comIn a few days Halloween will be behind us and we’ll need to turn our attention to the major holidays that are around the corner. I’ve been thinking about some homemade gift ideas and thought I’d share some things that I found. None of these gifts take major crafting, cooking or sewing skills. I think they’d all be pretty easy to create but would make a big impact. I love homemade gifts and can’t wait to start creating some of these.
