FRIDAY: High Five

Happy Friday everyone! What are you high-fiving about this week? I’m actually still out of town on business. I’m heading back this afternoon so chances are if you’re reading this later in the day, I’m on a plane heading home. Hooray for home sweet home. Wishing you a wonderful weekend – with the holidays behind us it’s nice to get back into a normal routine with a little relaxation time on the weekend. And now for my Friday High Five.

IMG_2767I made these brownie bites for the holidays and they were so delicious. I use Ghiradelli brownie mix (I think it’s the best), vanilla frosting and Hershey’s white chocolate peppermint candy. I prefer the soft white chocolate peppermint over the crushed hard candy canes on my brownies.

I bought these fire engine red rain boots for my trip. It rains a lot in Washington and I needed to be prepared. These are for dashing into the office. I’ll change into dressy boots once I get out of the rain. I thought the bright red would be a fun splash of color.

IMG_2454I snapped this picture on my phone the last time I was in Washington for business. The leaves were just turning and it was gorgeous. I suspect it will be quite a different scene this time.

Currently on my nails, Essie Puffer Up. I’m still loving the whole greige (grey-beige) color. It works well for my shorter length nails and the neutral colors I tend to wear – black, beige and grey.

IMG_2743I was using this coffee cup a lot before the holidays. A reminder that it may not all get done or get done perfectly but a joyous holiday season is way more important.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
