Etceteras: butterfly wreath

I love seeing all the butterflies flittering around our yard lately.

They don’t stop for very long so I decided the next best thing would be to bring them inside.

To make a butterfly wreath that you can enjoy year-round, you’ll need:

• Wire or wire hanger
• Organza ribbon
• Paper or fabric leaves
• Butterfly printouts
• Glue gun

1. Start by shaping your wire into a wreath form.
2. I made a spiral shape with both ends open to give this wreath an airy and branch-like feel.
3. Once you have your form, wrap organza ribbon around the wire and use hot glue to secure it every now and then.
4. You can probably get the same “twig” effect using brown raffia or kraft paper.
5. Add your leaves and other natural elements like bits of moss and pussy willow as I did.
6. Print out some beautiful butterflies that are available online and glue to your wreath.

Beautiful butterflies that won’t flitter away.
