Etceteras: easy frame transformation

Do you have any frames that don’t quite fit in with your décor?

Like this one? I received this frame as a gift and never used it. Not that there’s anything wrong with it – it just doesn’t quite work with my décor.

I rescued the zebra stripe frame from a drawer and gave it a quick facelift with metallic paint.

I knew the paint wouldn’t go on perfectly, so I stippled on the last coat giving the frame a brushed metal faux finish.

I printed out a photo from a past project which brightened up the now-cold metallic frame.

A quick and easy transformation and perfect for the upcoming holiday season.
