FRIDAY: High Five

It’s Friday – thank goodness or TGIF as we like to say. This week flew by in a flash and time is only going to start picking up speed as I fall further behind on the holiday to-do list. I need to start my online holiday shopping so that there’s time deliveries but first I should make a list. Oh, so much to do. Cards to make, goodies to bake, yes, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.

So, how was your week? Do you have anything to report and “high five” about?  Here’s what I’ve been up to this week and I’m high fiving over.

Friday High Five via homework (4)Coffee! I have to admit, I’m a caffeine addict. I probably drink 3-4 cups a day. I should probably cut back but that probably won’t happen anytime soon.

Friday High Five via homework (3)How do you keep your to-do lists and notes for home and work? I still love old fashioned pretty notebooks. The orange notebook with tabs is the one I like to take on my business trips. It’s a small 5” x 8” notebook with a plastic pocket in the front. The pocket is perfect for my boarding pass and trip itinerary. I added the colorful tabs to separate out to-do lists, meeting notes and personal notes. Three cheers for paper notebooks!

Friday High Five via homework (1)I’ve always been a fan of MAC makeup but this eye pencil is my favorite. It’s the Longwear Eye Pencil and it really stays on longer and doesn’t smudge during the day. This color is called Rich Experience and it’s actually a dark brown color although the photo makes it look blacker.

Friday High Five via homework (2)This has been my go-to breakfast all week. I’ve been on a “diet” for 10 months and I’ve lost 12 pounds. I actually lost most of the weight in the first 3-4 months and have been on a semi-nutritional maintenance plan for the past 6 months. I toast a half of English Muffin, add a very thin slice of smoked gouda cheese and top it off with an egg white. I microwave my egg white in a shallow dish for 30 seconds and it’s perfect every time.

Friday High Five via homework (5)A bud in my garden always makes me happy. We’ve had wacky weather lately so I think some of the plants are confused as to what season it is.

I hope you had a great week filled with moments that you could high five about. Wishing you a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you back here on Monday!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
