I have a quick and easy project for you just in time for Valentine’s Day. If you’re planning on giving cookies or other treats away for Valentine’s Day, don’t forget the pretty packaging.
These individual sized cookie tins are upcycled nut cans. I buy a lot of raw nuts to make homemade trail mix and started saving up the cans.

I used gift wrap to cover the cans. Simply measure the gift wrap so that it wraps around the can and secure with double-sided tape.

Wrap up some cookies – homemade or bakery bought in clear cello wrap and use some pretty ribbon or strips of fabric to tie the top.

I used fabric from my stash including a strip of vintage linen.

Make some simple tags to write your message and you have a nice individual-sized cookie tin that’s as pretty to look at as it is sweet and yummy!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
You make everything look so pretty!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea! I love nice gift packaging, whether its for edible gifts or other presents, it just adds so much to the gift itself! This is such a great idea, and the "cookie tins" look beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteIs the edges around the inside of can sharp where pull open lid was ?
ReplyDeleteThe cans I buy are.
The cans I'm using don't have sharp edges. Definitely something to think about though when making these. Thanks.
