FRIDAY: High Five

Welcome to the second edition of Friday: High Five. Five snippets of my week – what I’ve been up to, creating, wearing, what I’ve accomplished or what is inspiring me at the moment. I’d love for you to let me know what you’re “high-fiving” about this week. Leave me a comment and let me know.

Friday High Five - carolynshomework (3)I’ve been playing around with fall colors and this by far is my favorite color combination. Burnt orange and turquoise. I bought a package of these little tea lights and wrapped a pretty piece of turquoise velvet ribbon around the holder. I think one for each place setting at Thanksgiving will be perfect. What’s your favorite fall color combination?

Friday High Five - carolynshomework (1)I ordered this black and white oversized buckle sweater from TJ Maxx. I can’t wait for the weather to be cool enough so I can wear it. It’s still warm in the day here in Southern California. I’m patiently waiting for fall.

Friday High Five - carolynshomework (4)My new favorite nail polish is Essie Sand Tropez. It’s a perfect grey beige and goes with everything I wear. This is the regular polish for a DIY manicure. The companion gel polish is Essie Fancy A Brulee which I like even better when I get a gel manicure at the salon. The gel polish is the tiniest bit more greige.

Max VB Gear 1My son plays college volleyball. He’s played for years. In fact, I’ve been watching him play sports since he was tiny. This past weekend I sat for over 8 hours at one of his pre-season tournaments. I figure I’ll probably only have a few more years at best of watching him play and I don’t want to miss any of it. When it’s over, I’ll even miss this mess that’s always on his floor.

Friday High Five - carolynshomework (2)My hydrangeas are blooming and even though they don’t feel “fall” like, they are an instant pick me up for my desk.

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope to see you back here next week.
xxoo

Thanks so much for stopping by.
