The starfish, shells and coral have been put away until next summer. All the pops of aqua are gone and I’m in pre-fall mode. Nothing gets me motivated for the upcoming season more than redecorating my dining room hutch. I don’t have a mantel so this is where I bring in seasonal décor.
As always, I leave out my white plates and dishes and start with a clean slate. This year, I decided to bring in vintage silver pieces and shades of neutral colors.
I think this one is my favorite so far. But I say that every season. I loved the yellow accents in the spring and the cool aqua in the summer but there’s something about fall that is so tranquil. Neutrals and white with a touch of nature.
This silver tea set was a wedding gift and I’m thrilled that the tarnished look is in. Cleaning silver is not high up on my list of chores. A few acorns from last fall survived the storage bin so I scattered a few on the shelves.
It was fun digging through cupboards and finding pieces that worked together. Vintage pieces mixed with new pieces. Wedding gifts mixed with thrift store and flea market finds. It’s funny how you can remember where each piece is from.
Thanks for visiting.
I love your choices!. The summer is an eye catcher for sure- reminds me of sea glass..

ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous! I love all of the your seasons, but I admit summer is my favorite because I love the aqua color. Fall is definitely my second favorite!
