The Inspiration Board: creative party spotlight ~118~

Welcome to The Inspiration Board Spotlight. The day I get to feature gorgeous projects that were linked up on The Inspiration Board. This week the board was brimming with goodies. It’s always hard to pick out the projects but this week was even harder to narrow down the selection. As always, thank you so much for stopping by this week, leaving me comments or sharing your creativity.

If you didn’t get a chance to stop by this week, here are the projects that I shared.

Now on to the projects in the spotlight this week.

DSC_0167Last week Life & Home at 2102 shared a glimpse of her renovated kitchen. This week we were treated to the full reveal and oh my stars look at this beauty. Every detail is stunning especially the light fixtures and that gorgeous tile.

Sherman-Skulina-Mini-MeDoes this photo melt your heart or what? A darling mini-me dog ornament that looks just like the big guy shared by Virginia Sweet Pea.

finished product 2Old Blue Silo shares a fun diy photo holder. This project combines two trends: clipboard photo holders and pallets. See how she made these out of wood shims.

Decoupage-VaseThe DIY Dreamer shows us how to give a plain vase a vintage feel with decoupage and vintage botanicals. So pretty and with endless possibilities.

IMG_5384aSummer is drawing to a close but there’s still plenty of hot weather and a need for summer clothes. This cute ruffled sundress top by Peaches and Bees is a great way to use small amounts of fabric for the straps and trim.

Hutch-Makeover-the-revealThe best thing about this beautiful kitchen hutch is it’s humble beginnings. It started out as an 80’s wall unit – complete with a tv and scenic painting. And or course, it was 1980’s brown. The Learned Observer has completely transformed the piece into a gorgeous and functional piece.

You know when you see an item that you love but it’s a bit pricey? So you sit down and figure out a pattern and stitch up a replica? Do you do that? Well, Sweet Bee Buzzing did and made this amazing back pack tote bag. Fabulous!

image (1)I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of painted glass projects. It’s almost instant gratification and you can change up your color scheme on a whim. Vintage Paint and More made three blue vases in varying hues to go with her beachy décor. I love the shape and the blue tones.

paintchip8I love this project by With a Sparklex. A dry erase calendar using paint chips! It’s super cute and super handy!

strawberryvanillapoundcake4There’s a reason they call it pound cake and it’s worth it! Annie’s Noms shares her perfected recipe for Strawberry and Vanilla Pound Cake topped off with glaze. Oh yum!

3-img_1982Redesigned by M created this wall vignette for a photography styling challenge. I love the wall texture, the pop of the red chair and the starkness of the lamp. Beautiful!
