For this month’s Lifestyle Crafts tutorial, I stepped away from a paper project and experimented with die cutting cork. As I become more comfortable with my Lifestyle Crafts Evolution tool I’m trying new things and get to be a little more creative with the projects.

Although, I have to confess, this project turned out to be so simple I’m feeling positively empowered!

To make these cork coasters, you’ll need:
- Lifestyle Crafts Evolution Tool
- Lifestyle Crafts Cork Adhesive Sheets
- Circle Nesting Dies
- Cardstock or chipboard
- Glitter
- Dimensional Glitter paint or adhesive
Cut out your cork circles using a circle die. Cut out matching circles in thick cardstock or chipboard. Peel off the adhesive backing from the cork and adhere to the chipboard. This will make the cork stiffer and more durable. Squeeze dimensional glitter paint or glue along the outer edge of the circle. Sprinkle with glitter and let dry.

I intentionally made my dimensional glitter edging chunky and uneven for a more interesting finish.

I also used coarse glitter to give the finish a gold nugget feel. Of course, you could skip the glitter all together and just embellish the cork with confetti dots, paint, Sharpies or just about anything.

Once the coasters are completely dry, pour your favorite beverage, take a sip and and set it down.

Thanks for visiting my little corner of the creative world.
