I’ve had this sifter forever! I honestly don’t remember where I got it. It might be my moms, I’m going to have to ask her.
It sits on a shelf in my kitchen. I just love the little wooden knob on the crank.
Once the cup was in place, it was easy to plop in the tulips. They didn’t need much arranging and fell gracefully into place.
I love tulips. They come in so many shades of colors and varieties. I read on one site that there are over 3,000 recognized varieties. These pale pink are so delicate and fragile looking.
Thanks for visiting my little corner of the creative world.
What a great idea! I love tulips, too. Where I live, we have to treat them as annuals -- or dig up the bulbs and store in a fridge over winter for replanting. It just doesn't get cold enough for them here. Also, I used a hobnail creamer as a pitcher for some daisies on my porch the other day. Photos on my blog!
ReplyDeleteNice repurposing! The tulips are lovely.
ReplyDeleteOoooohh, how beautiful! I love it!
ReplyDeleteHow fun is this. I love this idea. I would love for you to link up to my Inspire Me party that goes lives tomorrow afternoon around 3:30. http://www.astrollthrulife.net. Hope to see you there. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI have one of these sifters too. It's too rusty to use for food anymore so I just decorate with it. I love this idea of using it as a vase! Beautiful tulips!
