Inspiration strikes in the strangest ways sometimes. My table color scheme this year is inspired by this spool of deep red velvet ribbon.

Last week I shared my white & gold hutch which I had intended to carry out on my table too. The gold chargers, white plates and gold “cheers” plates were perfect for my plan.

I even bought a new tablecloth that has a little bit of gold shimmer in it.

But this old wood spool of ribbon caught my eye at the store the other day. How could I resist. The color is gorgeous and so I absolutely had to incorporate it into my décor.

I brought out my glass red berry beads and got to work.

The beads match perfectly with the ribbon and between the two items would add enough color to my centerpiece.

I used this beautiful piece of wood that I believe is Walnut as the base.

White candles, swirls of white tulle and a touch of green miniature tree come together with the red ribbon and beads. A few white camellias were blooming in my garden so I added those to the mix.

Vintage appetizer forks are ready to be used and I can’t wait to sit down and enjoy a holiday meal at this table.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Oh, my, what a gorgeous table you've set - all because of that red velvet ribbon. And it doesn't hurt that your camellias are perfectly white and beautifully in bloom.
