ETCETERAS: Washi Tape Time Frame

Washi Tape Time Frame via homework (5)Eighteen years ago, I was given a time frame when my son was born. It was so fun adding the photos every few months and then every year as he grew older.

Washi Tape Time Frame via homework (3)This is the one I was given as a gift. It has cut outs for each photo and in the beginning you add a photo every three months. At age two you add a photo every year. As you can see, I need to add the last row of photos since my son is 18. Maybe a part of me doesn’t want to finish the frame since it marks the end of his childhood.

I actually plan on finishing it soon but I also wanted to make another time frame. For this second time frame, I’m not going to use those horrible school photos. I’m going to use my favorite photos and print them out in black and white.

Washi Tape Time Frame via homework (1)This time frame was so easy to make. I used an old frame I found in a closet and created a pencil grid line on the mat. I knew I wanted 25 photos. And marked off the lines lightly in pencil.

Washi Tape Time Frame via homework (9)Once you have your grid lines, use Washi Tape and write in the ages you want to feature.

Washi Tape Time Frame via homework (2)Rip or cut your tape and adhere to the grid lines. Once you’re satisfied erase the light pencil lines.

Washi Tape Time Frame via homework (6)I can’t wait to pick out the photos and print them out. Black and white photos with the gold Washi Tape will look so cool.

Washi Tape Time Frame via homework (8)And before you know it, you’re putting on the last photo when they’re eighteen.Where does the time go?

Thanks so much for stopping by.
