Use old t-shirts to make yarn and create all kinds of things like these coasters. I also made a bowl you can check out here.
It doesn’t get much easier than this. Use a bamboo placemat to cover a bottle or old vase for an instant facelift.
Use cans for storage containers. I covered these cans in a print out of rust.
Once you finish that giant tin of cookies, add a little chalkboard paint and a handle to make a nice bin.
You can even recycle paper from the shredder and make new paper.
Use the inside of security envelopes from the junk mail to make pretty beads. This bracelet is a paperclip chain with the paper rolled onto the paperclips. Fun, right?
Don’t throw away those paper towel rolls. Create Faux Wrought Iron to decorate your plants.
Keep saving those paper towel tubes. You can make cute party favors by covering them in paper and adding some pretty faux flowers.
Jars make great storage especially for pretty things you want to display like vintage buttons. Have an unsightly lid? Cover it in a bit of fabric.
Use up junk mail and other scraps of paper to create an interesting memo box filled with scratch paper.
I hope you enjoyed these recycled project ideas in honor of Earth Day.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
