I’m loving my new coastal weathered pedestal tray. I started out creating this with the plan to make a sign. But I really don’t need another sign. Then it was going to be an jewelry holder. I couldn’t decide what to do with it so I set it aside. Because I’m completely out of room, I placed the flat tray temporarily on top of another pedestal dish that I have in my craft room and inspiration struck. It would be perfect as a pedestal tray.
It’s perfect for my dining room table with my new coastal décor.
Here’s where I started. A little wood plaque that I found at Target in the dollar bins. Like I said, my plan was to make a cute sign. I painted the plaque with white craft paint and added bits of grey and aqua. I then used a crackle medium to give it a weathered look.
The little brass embellishments cover up the holes from the original rope hanger.
This candle holder was a project from long ago. I bought them at the dollar store and gave then a coat of white paint. So that it would go with my new weathered tray, I distressed it a bit with some sandpaper and simply glued it to the bottom of the tray.
I love it! Even my husband loves it and he usually gives me a puzzled look when I make things but he actually said, “Oh, that one is nice.” Score!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
That is a gorgeous tray, Caroln. I love it!!
