Celebrations: A Touch of Fall Decor

White, beige and silver fall decorThe starfish, shells and coral have been put away until next summer. All the pops of aqua are gone and I’m in pre-fall mode. Nothing gets me motivated for the upcoming season more than redecorating my dining room hutch. I don’t have a mantel so this is where I bring in seasonal décor.

White, beige and silver fall decorAs always, I leave out my white plates and dishes and start with a clean slate. This year, I decided to bring in vintage silver pieces and shades of neutral colors.
White, beige and silver fall decorI think this one is my favorite so far. But I say that every season. I loved the yellow accents in the spring and the cool aqua in the summer but there’s something about fall that is so tranquil. Neutrals and white with a touch of nature.
White, beige and silver fall decorI put out my twine and pussy willow nest that I made ages ago and a pretty feather.
White, beige and silver fall decorThis silver tea set was a wedding gift and I’m thrilled that the tarnished look is in. Cleaning silver is not high up on my list of chores. A few acorns from last fall survived the storage bin so I scattered a few on the shelves.
White, beige and silver fall decorVintage silverware with bone handles passed down from my husband’s family.
White, beige and silver fall decorIndividual silver salt shakers fit perfectly in front of the plate rack.
White, beige and silver fall decorIt was fun digging through cupboards and finding pieces that worked together. Vintage pieces mixed with new pieces. Wedding gifts mixed with thrift store and flea market finds. It’s funny how you can remember where each piece is from.
White, beige and silver fall decorI’m still planning on adding a few more things. I may make a garland or mini wreath to hang from the top.
White, beige and silver fall decorFor now, I’m enjoying the little reminders that fall is almost here.
Thanks for visiting.
