UPCYCLING: Repurposed Vintage Sifter to Vase

Repurposed Vintage Sifter to Vase with tulips via homework | carolynshomework.com I’ve had this sifter forever! I honestly don’t remember where I got it. It might be my moms, I’m going to have to ask her.

Repurposed Vintage Sifter to Vase with tulips via homework | carolynshomework.com I turned it into an impromptu vase when I got a bunch of tulips. I have tons of pretty vases, jars and bottles but I was in the mood for something different. I stuffed tin foil inside the sifter and nestled a paper cup cut to the correct height.

Repurposed Vintage Sifter to Vase with tulips via homework | carolynshomework.com I love tulips. They come in so many shades of colors and varieties. I read on one site that there are over 3,000 recognized varieties. These pale pink are so delicate and fragile looking.

  1. What a great idea! I love tulips, too. Where I live, we have to treat them as annuals -- or dig up the bulbs and store in a fridge over winter for replanting. It just doesn't get cold enough for them here. Also, I used a hobnail creamer as a pitcher for some daisies on my porch the other day. Photos on my blog!

  4. I have one of these sifters too. It's too rusty to use for food anymore so I just decorate with it. I love this idea of using it as a vase! Beautiful tulips!
