Upcycling: bamboo placemat vase

Here’s a simple idea that changes the look of a plain vase instantly.

Use a placemat and wrap it around a cylinder shaped vase. Tie it with a piece of ribbon or twine and you have a whole new look.

 
I found this bamboo placemat with amazing colors at the Dollar Store.
If you don’t have a cylinder shaped vase, wrap your placemat around a jar or water bottle. Super easy with super results.

    Cute and simple. I just bought a 4 pack of bamboo place mats for $2.50 at Target and am trying to get some inspiration for how to use them.
