The Inspiration Board: creative party spotlight ~151~

Another week has come and gone with amazing creativity, sweet comments and lots of sharing. Thank you everyone who stopped by this week and a big thank you for those of you that shared a project on The Inspiration Board this week. It seems everyone’s spring break was at different times this year. At our house, my son was on spring break this week which seemed to add to the daily chaos. I hope you had a wonderful and calm week filled with creativity.

If you didn’t have a chance to stop by this week, here’s what I shared.

Now, grab a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy these beautiful and inspiring projects in the Spotlight this week.

Earth-cake-with-candy-rocks-inside The week started off with Earth Day and Hungry Happenings shared this oh-my-goodness Earth Cake filled with Candy Rocks. I’ve never seen a round cake before and I am amazed!

Keep it Simple Sweetie made light and easy fish tacos which look delicious. Doubly impressive is the fact that the tortillas are homemade.

Altered Egg DSC05746This pretty egg doesn’t have to be put away just because Easter is over. Shabby Tea Party shares a moss filled egg resting on a pretty little nest that works for the entire spring season.

bear-chair-in-placeCounting Willows recovered a well-loved Bear Chair that had been passed down from generations and it looks adorable! I’m sure future generations will be enjoying this sweet chair.

Panoramic egg2BFile this one away for next year. Artsy Vava made homemade sugar eggs and decorated them just beautifully. As with traditional sugar eggs, the inside has a wonderful spring scene inside. Gorgeous and these definitely bring back memories.

IMG_0356EWSometimes unadorned and unembellished make the biggest statement. I love this egg shell herb garden by Homemade Interest. This would be such a great project to do with kids.

Craft-Stick-Flip-Flop-Pairs-Kids-Activities-BlogHow adorable are these Craft Stick Flip Flops by Kids Activities Blog? Little craft sticks and pipe cleaners come together to create the tiniest flip flops ever.

IMG_7494I’ve never heard of Baked Apple Purses but that’s okay – the picture says it all. Sourdough Native shares a recipe for these yummy looking goodies and the best part is they can be easily made with refrigerated biscuit dough. I love quick and easy!

Jewelry treeNik’s Box crafted this pretty Jewelry Tree the old fashioned way – with a pencil drawing and craft knife. I love old-school crafting. It’s what I grew up on. Beautifully done!

Donate Life MonthSugar Swings made these Spring Flower Cupcakes and Donate Life Pretzel Signs for Donate Life Month. She briefly touches on her personal stake in this cause and you can read about it on her post. Yay for donors!

kraftmint_dahlia_011
Gorgeous Tissue Paper Dahlias by Kraft & Mint. I’ve made tissue paper flowers before but the addition of the mist ink colors make this project stand out in a field of paper flowers. Lovely!

IMG_3842aOh Penny, Penny, Penny - you amaze me! Penny’s Vintage Home covered a wall of cabinets in her studio with a collection of vintage clothes. Inspiring!
