Hello friends. Last week my day job kept me super busy – busier than usual.. If you didn’t know, I work full time as Senior Marketing Manager. I blog in the mornings, evenings and weekends. It was hard to unwind each night and by the end of the week, I was exhausted. Typically, I create my projects in the evenings, shoot and edit photos on Saturday and write and schedule all my posts on Sunday. Last week I got a little more behind every day and with Easter prep I had no time to catch up, create or shoot photos.
I started to stress out and realized how silly that was. So rather than rush to create something I decided to share some Stress Buster and Healthy Living ideas from my archives. We can all use a little pampering, a slower pace and a healthier approach to life Three cheers to not stressing over the little things…
There’s nothing like a nice cup of tea to calm the nerves. These homemade Lemon Sugar Cubes are the perfect partner to a good cup of tea.
When you’re tired and stressed there’s no hiding it. Take a few minutes and pamper your skin with this Honey Facial Mask.
Now that the weather is nice, soak up some sun and work in your garden. A few years ago, I planted a Japanese Vegetable garden and it was so fun to watch everything grow.
Water. Water. Water. When I don’t drink enough water, it shows. My skin looks lack luster, my mouth is dry and so are my eyes. Add some Lemon Pomegranate Ice to a glass of water to jazz it up.
You are what you eat. This is so true and I have to confess, until recently my eating habits were not that great. I’ve been on a diet and eating healthier lately and I no longer have those food comas in the afternoon. With tomato season coming up, I’m looking forward to making more of the Caprese Crostini Skewers.
Homemade granola is so much better than those expensive granola bars. This recipe Pistachio Pomegranate Granola is easy to make and yummy.
Freshening up the potted plants on the patio is a great way to welcome spring and instantly give you a sense of well-being. Hydrangeas are one of my favorites and you can’t beat the fresh cut flowers these bushes produce.
Another thing I’m trying to get better at is eating more veggies. To make things more interesting, I’m trying new vegetables like Purple Potatoes.
Fresh cut flowers can add up. But you don’t have to go for the expensive bouquet. These less-expensive filler flowers make a pretty arrangement and are a great pick-me-up after a tough week.
I don’t think anything makes me feel better than a nice hot bath. Homemade Oatmeal Lavender Bath Salts make you feel like you’re at a spa – well almost.
Quinoa is one of those super foods that jam packed with healthy goodness. I’ve tried it in a variety of recipes and it’s really good. This Qunioa Pilaf is a nice alternative to a rice side dish.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Loving all of these- thanks for sharing!
